Generally, about 90% of the features and functions within CADWorx are applicable to your business and projects. That said, most companies are only using around 30% of the features and functions. ECE can change this by providing an on-site CADWorx Assessment. This includes an Implementation Report and Implementation Plan based upon the Assessment findings.
As a Third Party, ECE comes to your location and conducts a 3 day Audit. The Audit is structured so that Managers, Supervisors, Administrators and Users are engaged to uncover how well CADWorx is being leverage against project and business requirements.
First, we start by engaging management to get their perspective on where improvements need to be realized. Throughout the process, ECE keeps improvements in mind as we perform the balance of the audit.
In the end, management's assessment is compared to ECE's assessment. The outcome are discussions to determine what improvements are really important to the business and how to prioritize the tasks within CADWorx implementation plan.
Next we engage the Design Managers, CAD Administrators and Users. They complete questionnaires and are interviewed to get subjective and objective assessments. Some of the key performance indicators are intended to yield grades that are used to measure strength and weakness amongst the project team. Whenever we have an area where the grades are 'C' or below, then we recommend training, at minimum, be performed to improve the knowledge and skills in these areas. In many cases, some of the implementation requires 'On The Job Mentoring' to establish method and best practices that leverage all that AutoCAD/CADWorx have to offer.
It takes the experience of ECE Application Engineers to make assessments on the overall existing implementation in terms of Preparation, Execution, Project Management and Turn-Over Documents. This assessment is done by engaging all levels of the CADWorx team to uncover and investigate methods, standards and collaboration amongst disciplines. The result is an overall estimation of the application utilization for each category.
What good is an Assessment if you don't have an action plan to improve performance? Integral to the Audit, ECE provides an implementation plan that always consists of multiple Phases and each one is designed to increase the utilization and overall performance of the project team. Generally, the largest percent increase is gained during Phase 1 because we are working on those items which have the immediate results and involve the entire project team.
Implementation is a team effort and ECE works with each and every client to allocate resources in the most efficient and effective way. We include a complete project schedule that we leverage to refine the tasks and assign responsibility. ECE is there to assist in whatever capacity makes sense because we have the core competence to do it all.
