Intergraph CADWorx Plant Design Suite Training

General Description:
The CADWorx Plant Professional classes are designed to teach the effective use and functionality of the latest CADWorx Plant software, applied to plant design work. The User will learn how to make the most of the program's capabilities, such as quickly building and editing models in a 3D environment and generating 2D drawings and isometrics from them. The course also covers topics that, although not difficult in concept, can be time-consuming to learn on your own, such as specification management, program controls and settings. Although CADWorx Plant is easy to use, there are many methods, tricks and techniques that will improve your productivity and your ability to generate the drawings you need as efficiently as possible. This class is the best of its kind, placing a very strong focus on plant design using well-developed real-world examples.

Configuring working environment; basic software operation; creation of 3D piping, equipment, and steel models; effective modeling techniques and model management; material management utilizing export, live database, and BOM back annotation in the drawing; 2D orthographics utilizing 3D clipping, sheet set manager, and 2D representation; automatic isometric generation; specification and library basics; creation of custom components utilizing standard piping shapes, multi-end condition shapes, and user shapes.

ISOGEN Basic Training

General Description:
Isogen is built into CADWorx and mastering it takes years of experience. This class is designed to teach one how to set up, configure and produce piping isometric fabrication drawings. It will begin by using the templates included with CADWorx to set up Isogen Styles. From there the class will teach users how to customize the title blocks and bills of materials. It will then provide instruction on many configuration switches in the options editor and some of the many of the Alternative Text entries that control the content and annotation on isometric drawings. Finally, some methods and best practices associated with producing productions drawings will be taught.

PLANTMO-CAD

General Description:
PLANTMO-CAD exists to assist help produce isometrics and eliminate many of the post processing tasks that face CADWorx Users.

This class will teach users how to use the built-in drawing and file management utilities that will keep Work In Progress and Issued directories well organized and void of unwanted files. It will teach users how to automatically populate AutoCAD title block attributes and rename drawings files from an Excel line list. It will also teach users how to use the built in bill of material features that can be used to manage add/delete sheets over the duration of a project. Finally, ECE will teach users how to export bills of materials and weld logs to Excel that are one for one with each and every isometric drawing.

During this 2 day course, the user will learn to use the Intergraph CADWorx P&ID Software Solution.

CAESAR II Training

The CAESAR II Statics and Dynamics classes cover proper system modeling guidelines, methods of static and dynamic analysis of piping systems, evaluation of system designs, and effective approaches to system redesign. The course is broken down into half-day sessions, each covering a major topic. Each of these sessions include a lecture, or discussion followed by a 'hands-on' exercise which reinforces the session topic. Each attendee with their own personal computer and a copy of the CAESAR II pipe stress analysis program for use during the seminar. The complete course lasts five days; three days for modeling and static analysis, and two days for dynamic analysis.
