2009, 12 - Gary Mellinger and John Brinlee to Join ECE Design January 1, 2010
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS - DECEMBER 17, 2009 - ECE Design announced today their expansion in the COADE Plant Design Marketplace. On January 1, 2010, Gary Mellinger (formerly of MELLINGER & ASSOCIATES) and John Brinlee (formerly of COADE) will join ECE Design to expand office locations into Texas and Louisiana. Bill Vasey, President of ECE Design, states "Joining forces with Gary and John will provide COADE customers with the most knowledgeable Plant Design force in COADE Dealer history."
Gary Mellinger comes to ECE with over 30 years of experience in the Plant Design Sector. Since 1995, Mellinger & Associates has been selling, training, integrating and supporting the CADWorx product line. Gary stated, "I am excited about merging my company into ECE because now I can provide customers more resources and solutions."
John Brinlee comes to ECE Design direct from COADE with a desire to "reenter the distribution channel and focus more on the integration aspects of CADWorx with the most proactive COADE reseller in the world". Over the last 10 years, John's real-world experience in plant design is readily apparent from the thousands of technical product presentations to the hundreds of training sessions he has performed around the world as Sales Manager for Plant Design Solutions at COADE.

Manage CAD Files & Their Complex File Relationships
CAD users have unique document management requirements and require a specialized solution designed to work with their CAD system. Adept has been integrated with AutoCAD-based applications like CADWorx since 1991. Adept is designed to easily and effectively address the unique requirements of CAD users in the following ways:
Find Existing Design Data – Adept’s full text and structured searching methods allow CADWorx users to quickly find existing design data.
File Relationship Management – Adept manages and tracks complex file relationships that exist within AutoCAD and CADWorx files throughout each documents lifecycle. As files are checked out, revised, routed through workflow, copied or moved, Adept ensures all file relationships are intact. Advanced Version Control - Version control is of critical importance, preventing CAD users from working on an incorrect version, and preventing the wrong version from making it to the shop floor, purchasing, or a building contractor. Adept’s version control capabilities go deeper for CAD users when file relationships are used. When files with “parent/ child” relationships are revised, Adept ensures related files are linked to the correct version of the revised file. You can configure Adept so that a parent file will always reference the latest version of a child, or so that it will remain fixed on the original version when appropriate.
In some CAD environments, it is important to track not only “major” versions, but also “minor” versions. Minor versions are a series of edits that may occur by multiple users prior to the file’s final approval. By tracking minor versions, you have the flexibility of prototyping multiple versions of a design prior to checking one in to replace the original file.

2009, 1 - PLANTMO Pipe Support Module Released
Chicago, January 26, 2009 – ECE Design announced today an updated edition of its PLANTMO software. This software is an Add-on for CADWorx PLANT Professional which enables users to leverage the component information within 3D Piping Models. PLANTMO now offers users the ability to define unique piping supports, assign illustrations and maintain bills of material. In addition, the automated pricing features will tally up the cost of each support design and the overall support hardware cost on a project. All the support design data is easily imported and exported using Excel worksheets.

2008, 10 - PIMDO Introduction
HOUSTON--(Business Wire) - COADE announced today that ECE Solutions introduced its new PIDMO product as part of its exhibit participation during COADE's CADWorx User Conference in Houston on October 20-22.
