For our users who have recently upgraded to CAESAR II 2017 and are current owners of FEATools V2.0, there is a utility that allows FEATools to read the 2016 and 2017 *.c2 file format.  Previously, FEATools V2.0 only worked with CAESAR II 2014, but now this tool can be used for both 2014, 2016 and 2017.  When FEATools V3.0 releases, this compatibility patch will not be necessary.  However during that interim period, how to download and install this hotfix is detailed below:

To download this hotfix:

1.  Visit https://smartsupport.intergraph.com/ and click View Downloads.
2. Then, select FEATools>Service Packs and Fixes> FEATools for CAESAR II.
3. Download and extract the FEATools 2.0, DLL Switcher Hotfix (FEATools2.0_CAESARII_V8_9_Compatibility.zip), which includes a PDF file containing instructions for download and installation.

After you have downloaded FEATools2.0_CAESARII_V8_9_Compatibility.zip, Here’s the rest of the instructions on how to install.

Installation Instructions:

1. Unzip the zipped file to a new folder.
2. Inside this folder, copy the contents of the directory to C:\Program Files (x86)\PRG\ICAS2015.  You should copy and replace the following items:
3. 1. C2Zip_CIIV7.dll
   2. C2Zip_CIIV8.dll
   3. C2Zip_CIIV9.dll
   4. CII_Translate_CIIV7.dll
   5. CII_Translate_CIIV8.dll
   6. CII_Translate_CIIV8.dll
   7. FEATools V2 + CAESAR II Switcher.bat
   8. ToolkitPro1640vc110U.dll
4. Make sure you are overwriting the contents of C:\Program Files (x86)\PRG\ICAS2015, and not just placing the folder in that directory!
5. To enable the switch for FEATools V2.0 to work with CAESAR II 2016, click on FEATools V2 + CAESAR II Switcher.bat.
6. You will be greeted with a windows command prompt that asks the following:
   1. Would you like to use FEATools V2.0 with CAESAR II 2016 or CAESAR II 2017? Select (8) for CAESAR II 2017 or (7) for CAESAR II 2016:
7. Press 8 on your keyboard to select 2017, and press enter.  The next prompt should read:
   1. You are now ready to use FEATools V2.0 with CAESAR II 2017.  Press any key to continue…
8. Press any key to close the command prompt.  That’s it!  Now when you open up FEATools V2.0, the program will be compatible with a CAESAR II 2017 file type.

Note:  The text of the FEATools CAESAR II Translator will still say 7.00 for the *.c2 file type selected.  However, the program will work with a CAESAR II 2017 filetype (which is version 9.00).

CAESAR II 2017 (version 9.0) is now released and available for updating.

CAESAR II 2017 features updates to many piping and equipment codes; support for creep conditions in piping based on EN-13480 guidelines; and many features that improve usability. This release includes a large-scale B31.4 code update for liquid pipelines. In addition, the 3D model has several new symbols and an improved display.

The Intergraph Process, Power & Marine support team has posted CADWorx Plant 2016 Service Pack 2 Hotfix 2. This Service Pack is now available for download from Intergraph’s Smart Support System.

To access this Download from the Intergraph Smart Support:

1. Log on to Intergraph’s Smart Support web at https://smartsupport.intergraph.com/
2. Select View Downloads
3. Select CADWorx Plant.
4. Select Service Packs and Fixes.
5. Select the download icon or the file link of the Hot Fix.

CADWorx Plant 2016 Service Pack 2 Hotfix 2 Items Resolved

• Defect preventing BOMEXPORT when Existing components are included in the selection set has been fixed.
• Close on ENTER is now again restored in the CEDIT dialog.
• Right-click copy is now again supported on the CEDIT palette.
• OLET materials assigned to Specification level material assignment setup will now derive assignment from the OLET header size instead of branch size.
• Palette docking or floating location and state is now saved between sessions.
• Defect preventing LD/SD/TAG/PTN from synchronizing with an underlying Access database has been fixed. Pipe weight is not updatable through DB SYNC, Documentation will be updated accordingly.
• Defect causing BOMEXPORT to fail when WeldGapsToDB option in Configuration Settings is set to ‘No’ has been fixed.
• Defect preventing BOMEXPORT on certain models with non-Fabrication/FFW welds has been fixed.
• Defect causing Long Descriptions to be removed when using AutoCAD rotate command has been fixed.
• Custom Field use is now supported in OLET LD/SD/PTN/TAG schemas.
• CADWorx Plant 2016 wrapper update to be compatible with upcoming CADWorx Plant 2017 installations.
• Bolt component LD will now update {LENGTH} keyword with bolt length is edited/updated.
• Debug prompts appearing when running the ISOGENOUT or IGO commands have been suppressed.
