The latest technology in handheld high definition scanning, the DPI-8x & the DPI-8x SR scanners from DotProduct have now been released!
Our latest model, the DPI-8X and DPI-8X SR is a much more compact and durable solution for our customers. This sleek, rugged design no longer requires a
separate handle. The tablet now slides in and out easily, and is secured by a latch and magnet. For information on upgrades kits for existing DPI-8 scanners please contact your ECE sales representative. Customers must also be on active Phi.3D Support and Maintenance to be eligible for an upgrade. Please note that this upgrade is to the existing sensor; new sensors will not be provided without purchase of a new scanner.
Additionally, DotProduct’s handheld 3D scanner data has now been integrated with Leica Cyclone 3D point cloud software. Professionals can capture hard-to-reach or obstructed objects with the DotProduct [hand-held solutions] to enhance productivity with minimum field setup and reduce overall project costs. While utilizing Cyclone’s suite of tools for powerful analysis and deliverable creation. “Projects of smaller scopes and rapid changes are perfectly suited to the affordable DPI-8 handheld scanner. It delivers a handheld scanning system that effectively integrates with and compliments the workflow of terrestrial laser scanning,” said Faheem Khan, vice president, business development for Leica Geosystems High-Definition Surveying (HDSTM). “We’re thrilled that Leica Cyclone can now support DotProduct’s highly compressed data format – this opens up new vistas for the smart combination of handheld and terrestrial laser scanning workflows” said Tom Greaves, chief marketing officer, DotProduct LLC.
